On Friday 26th May, Year 11 students at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College celebrated their time at the College with a leavers' assembly. Families and members of our community were invited to join students to celebrate their time at Broadoak, sharing memories and achievements.
Awards were presented to students in each tutor group for outstanding progress, achievement and citizenship with the Year Leader’s Outstanding Student of the Year award presented to Sophie Evans.
Everyone was interested to hear the memories of Head Boy (Kruz), Head Girl (Kiera), Deputy Head Boy (Ewan) and Deputy Head Girl (Sophie). They talked warmly of how they have developed throughout their time at Broadoak, the relationships they have formed and the memories they will take with them.
Head teacher, Shelagh Pritchard, reflected on what is her last ever Leavers' Assembly before semi-retiring. She was happy to give an award to Adam Evans for his outstanding attendance. Adam hasn’t had a day off school in 5 years!
Year 11 leader Mrs Downes said, ‘This is a special year group for me. I have been with them since their first day at school. It has been an honour to see them through their secondary school days. I wish them all a happy and successful future in whatever they choose to do.’
