“RESIDENTIAL TRIP TO PGL BARTON HALL, TORQUAY”
BY ELLIE MOSS
“Our PGL trip was amazing in every way. The range of activities that we did was outstanding. We didn’t have to wait very long at all to get up and moving when we go off the coach. It was very wacky and helped us face fears we never thought we would overcome.
New friends were made as we needed to help each other out by securing people with ropes when they were 20 metres up in the air. This meant we have to trust each other if we were to succeed as s group.
The food was very good sized portions. There was always a vegetarian option and healthy food. We were able to get tea, coffee, water or orange juice. In each and every accommodation, there was a shower so that we could be refreshed every morning when we had to be outside for 7.20am on the dot!
Some activities were heart pounding like the giant swing because we had to pull a string which sent us flying down and back up the other side. Some activities really pushed your mental strength as you were askd to jump off a platform up in the air and onto a metal bar. There were many laughs which kept us going as well as the encouragement from others to keep going as you were on the same activities we were offered.
Altogether, we had an amazing time where new friends were forged. We would give this trip a five-star rating to anyone and we would all go again ourselves.
Thank you to all the staff who arranged this trip and gave us all a fantastic time.”
