    The LRC has compiled a list of some fantastic books specifically suitable for students in Years 10 and 11. There is something for everyone with a good mix of classic and contemporary fiction.

     

    We know that Years 10 and 11 can be very stressful for our young people with the pressures of their GCSE courses and exams. We also know that reading for pleasure has been proven to be an excellent way to relieve stress whilst still keeping the brain active.

  • Wear Red Day 2018

    Staff and students at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College got involved with Wear Red Day a national event organised by Show Racism the Red Card. Staff scoured their wardrobes to wear red for the day to show support for this important anti-racism message. Students designed their own red cards and carried them in their blazer pockets to show their support.

  • Year 11 Celebration Assembly

    On Friday 25th May, Year 11 students at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College celebrated their time at the College with a celebration assembly. Families and members of our community were invited to join students to celebrate their time at Broadoak, sharing memories and achievements. Each tutor presented one student in their tutor group with a Tutor Excellence Award and this year’s winners were Max, Zaira, Ellie Mae, Katie, Sona, Charlotte and Sam with the Year Leader Excellence Award being presented to Josh.
