We were delighted to run our Maths Challenge Day for the third year running on Tuesday 11th October 2016.
The day was organised in order to give Year 6 Maths enthusiasts the opportunity to take part in a challenging, fun-filled day with us.
We hosted students from Windwhistle, Oldmixon, Worlebury and Walliscote Primary school. The day consisted of a variety of activities including the cube investigation, Towers of Hanoi and a Challenging Maths Relay.
The level of engagement and enthusiasm was brilliant to see and the students experienced a different side to mathematics. They had to learn to work with others in a team and understand that problem-solving involves patience and perseverance. They had a fantastic day and Mr Kirkby came along to end the day by presenting the students with their certificates and prizes.
