The younger students of Broadoak performed their own twist on the classic story, 'Alice' to great acclaim on the 2nd and 3rd of May. They had audiences rolling in the aisles with their comic timing, their confidence and their portrayal of some wild and wacky characters.
Alice, played by Grace, Year 9 was performed masterfully: innocent and confused but with just the right level of sassy thrown in. Other major highlights included Hugo as the (completely) Mad Hatter; Jamie as the terrifying Queen of Hearts; Alan was a trolley-riding Caterpillar; Lily-Rose and Amellia as the Tweedles; Jackson as a super-sneaky Knave of Hearts; Poppy as the bafflingly-bonkers Duchess; Rachel as the wise White Rabbit and Jack played the role of the Cheshire Cat to its fullest comedic extent.
"It was wonderful to see so many of the children that I teach in a completely different light" said a member of staff. With so many students involved both on and off the stage it is clear that the future is extremely bright for many of these young people and we look forward to see what they will do next!
